Padgampora (also called Chota Punjab[citation needed]) is a village in Awantipora Tehsil in Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir State. It is located 11 km towards East from District headquarters Pulwama. 11 km from Tral. 30 km from State capital Srinagar.[1]

The founder of Tractor industry in Kashmir Mr. Mohd sultan Makroo is from Padgampora. The people of Padgampora depend mostly on Agriculture but the main business of people is tractor trading.

As of 2001 India census,[2] Padgampora had a population of 6,250. Males constitute 59% of the population and females 41%. Padgampora has an average literacy rate of 56.8%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 65.1% of the males and 48.8% of females literate. 14.6% of the population is under 6 years of age.
